Do not use bleach on wool carpet and since bleach makes the carpet lighter it should never be used on any carpet rich in color as the color may fade away. Once lightened floor coverings can be easily dyed any color including white. Personally i get the stain wet with some hot water cover it with baking soda. In fact bleach should be used mainly on white carpets which are not made of wool.

Never use bleach on a wool carpet. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray onto the dried stain. They are dyed white. Scrubbing will force the bleach deeper into the carpet fibers.

In fact it is best to use only for white or dirty white carpets. Because bleach will stain a carpet it should only be used on white or near white carpets. Your white carpet is not naturally white it is died white if you use bleach then it may turn green or worse it may look ok for a week or so but it will destroy your carpet we sometimes use. Alternatively you can use 1 cup 240 ml of water with a few drops of clear dish soap to blot the stain.

Rub the area with a sponge and blot it dry with paper towels. Bleach will destroy the color on any carpet that is rich in color and typically would only need to be used on white or near white carpet that has been stained with a dark hard to remove color. You can lighten some carpets with white vinegar. Bleach will take out all of the color and leave you with weird white spots.

White carpets are not created by the removal of colors and pigments. Make sure to use a white towel or one that you don t mind getting stained. Sometimes it helps to pat down the baking. So if you have found it absolutely necessary to use bleach for removing a stain from your carpet there are some steps you need to follow in order to successfully remove the stain without causing damage to the carpet.

Bleaching a carpet is permanent and cannot be undone. Mix 1 4 teaspoon 1 2 ml of white vinegar or non bleach detergent with 1 us quart 0 95 l of water.
