Can Mobs Spaawn On Carpet

So i m building illmango s endermen farm and i built a walkway 3x200 away from the main end island.

Can mobs spaawn on carpet.

I covered the most part with single layer carpet and endermen are spawning there a lot. I m trying to spawn proof with with carpet but mobs still spawn. 3 points 1 year ago. No mobs do not spawn on carpet.

The hitbox height of carpets is currently 0. The crafting recipe of carpets now returns 3 carpets from two wool. Give me a minute i m just going to make a flat world of carpet. The only case where mobs wont spawn is when it is one of the three spawners rabbit chicken and cow which all require direct access to grass to spawn therefore wont work if either a slab or carpet is covering it.

Carpets can now be placed on top of any block including non solid blocks. Will creepers spawn in this environment. The last 25 of the walkway is double layer carpet and it looks like they can t spawn there. I guess hostile mobs spawn on light level 7 and lower does the block underneath even define their spawn.
